I helped saving three lives today

 Today Jeevan Blood Bank arranged a Blood donation camp @ my work place. It has happened many times even before but just today i took it serious and donated 350 ml of my Be positive (B +ive) for the first time :).
The reason could be one of the following,
1.I just could not forget searching for blood in the blood banks, alone in late night  when appa was hospitalized.
2.Amma was donating Blood for thatha when he required blood transfusion often and we could not locate a donor. When amma is bold enough to do this at this age, why not me?
3.I always afraid of injections and when appa and thatha were forced to have so many injections and was given constant drips,got swelling in hands i wanted to feel the pain they felt.

So i went to the camp today to donate mine.

They did some basic testing like my Hemoglobin count, weight , BP and i was declared, i am strong enough to donate blood. They asked me to fill up a form giving various health details.The actual donation process took 7 minutes to collect 350 ml of blood.After the donation is complete i was given some eatables to make me refreshed. I was very comfortable other than slight giddiness which was okay after filling my stomach with a juice.

There was nothing to worry as i thought. I felt proud when i did it for others.
When you get a chance pls dont hesitate to donate yours if your are fit.
Actually when helping others we are helping ourselves too by ensuring that we still stay fit to donate. 
The only thing you should ensure is , the instruments they use is sterilized, and they dont use our blood as commercial.

Peepli Live

Peepli Live - It was a pure coincidence for me to watch this movie on Aug 15. Without no clue i watched the movie. The movie talks about the perspective of the poor farmers towards the government plans which are planned for their welfare and how the media people uses the situation to increase their TRP rating instead of seeking a solution when a problem arises. Though it sounded like a comedy film at the start, it was not actually. At the end of the show we could agree that it is the hard truth in real life too.
      After watched the movie I could not resist myself to think of it, “Will this movie bring in some positive changes in real?”
 To my surprise after few days I read an article in times of India that the movie was screened to Plan Panel of Government. We will have to wait to know what is going to be the impact that the movie makes in plans in near futureJ.  Please read more in the Link about the article,

Hats of to the entire team of Peepli Live who has brought the actual scenes on the screens.
If possible watch the movie once. I can guarantee you that you will entertain the movie though it carries a heavy story.
