Today is the first day of my another personal new year and something special about this B'day is that I am at home on my B'day after almost 8 years. As usual started getting wishes from my friends through messages and calls from 12 AM itself.Thanks to my dear friends for so much of care they show towards me.
The day started with a big preparation to get return tickets from native after Diwali holidays.Oops ! could not get tickets as usual in tatkal :(. Then got ready and went to nearby Ganesha temple with Patti. Had a nice chat with two guests who came home and they are very close to heart for mom from her childhood.
Then had nice meals with Vadai and Payasam ( these are for my B'day) and went to thottam to see thatha.
My hostel mate and friend "C" visited home with her brother. She gifted me two beautiful roses ( yellow and peach color) and Gulab jamoon (made by her mom) to me .Both the gifts are my all time favorite and i value her visit to our home than anything .Just day before yesterday i created an account in face book, so many old friends too wished me today through face book.It makes me happy when many wishing me by remembering me on my special day.
If i do a quick rewind of my past B'days i have evergreen memories which i miss a lot now a days.In my school days i used to wait for November to get new dress ( as we get only two new dresses per year, one for Diwali and one for B' day).The day before B'day me and Sathi used to go to near by shop to get chocolates. Appa used to take us to a far temple if our B'days fall on a weekend. As November is a rainy season , almost on all my B'days heavy rain will be there. I use to get upset even today because i can not go to many places to show off after wearing new dress and many times i can not even go to temple due to rain.
During college days we celebrated B'days with mid night cake cuttings and candles.Used to get so many gifts and cards from friends.Hardly we went out for hotels on B'days.
In workplace again cake cuttings and gifts continued along with cubical decorations and B'day questions.
I have got another set of nice friends to celebrate me.
In whichever way i celebrate my B'day I always feel excited to celebrate it as Life is so beautiful and i have got another year to live it.Just missing Appa and Thatha ,but compromising myself that they are with me always to bless me,guide me and appreciate me on my every success and comfort me at my tough times.
I wish many many Happy returns of this day should be there for me.
